It starts off with a eucalyptus note! (how many perfumes have you heard of that carry a eucalyptus note?!). Perhaps that is what makes this perfume special. I know that women just LOVE eucalyptus in a men’s perfume.
It doesn’t have a morning freshness scent, but what it does provide is a really unique scent that opens with a eucalyptus note and settles with a more woody fragrance. I can’t stress enough on how much I love this one!
This perfume was released in the year 2000 and still carries its magic for me with its sweet and spicy scent!
2. Versace Eau Fraiche
This is an interesting one on the list. Versace is not usually on my top 5 list, but this is a special one especially for the first date!
Versace Eau Fraiche is created by the famous perfumer Olivier Cresp; the same person who launched the super successful Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue (for Women) (also on my list below).
This fragrance has a got a great top note. It starts off with a citrus and a fruity scent. It provides a good fresh feeling, which is important when you are on a date!
All in all, a great perfume that can be used as casual wear in addition to a first date.
Don’t get confused by “Eau Fraiche” in its name as it is available in the Eau de Toilette variant.
3. Dior Homme Intense
The Dior house just knows how to make perfume!
The Dior Homme Intense is a great perfume for men (“homme” means men which I’m sure you already know).
It has got an interesting mix of a woody, floral, musky and chocolaty notes. What makes this really interesting is that the floral scent of this fragrance often works well for women.
Some even consider this as a very feminine perfume. But, the woody and musky base note really makes this perfume work well for men!
It is more suited for winter time than summer. So, if you are staying in a nice cool region, this will definitely work great for you!
It is also considered a good night time perfume since it really works great in cooler environment, so that will definitely be a plus for you if you go with this perfume.
4. Yves Saint Laurent L’Homme Intense
Another Yves Saint Laurent on this list.
L’Homme Intense by Yves Saint Laurent is so likable. You can not go wrong with this perfume. It is just in-offensive! Meaning – you won’t really offend anyone with this perfume. It is that likable.
You can even meet with your date’s parents on the first night, and this perfume will make them like you!
It has got an interesting soft and spicy flavor on it. The heavier notes are more woody in nature and comprise of burgamot and cedarwood.
It really doesn’t jump at you, and is very easy to like!

Giorgio Armani’s Acqua Di Gio Profumo is by far one of the most versatile men’s perfumes. It really goes with any moment in your life and makes it special!
It has got a great woody and a spicy combination that gives an acquatic feel while still providing a nice aroma! It opens up with a nice and clean, fresh aquatic accord.
Overall, just a super amazing perfume that goes with most skin types!

Best Perfume to Wear on a First Date for Women
Let me just start right away with my recommendations for the perfume women should be wearing on their first date!
1. Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue –
This perfume is usually present on most of our best perfume lists simply because it is THAT good!
Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue (for Women) is a great perfume in general but an excellent choice for a woman especially for the first date. Even if you are not on a date but you want to make the heads turn, use this perfume! Trust me, I speak with experience.
This perfume comes with a beautiful floral and fruity fragrance with a hint of jasmine and a bit of orange. It opens up just beautifully with its top notes. But, the interesting thing is that its mid and base notes continue to impress!
I will recommend going with the Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Intense version over the normal version if you have the budget. The intense version is an Eau de Parfum and has a release that is stronger than the normal version (which is an Eau de Toilette), but not too strong so as to overwhelm someone.
2. Chanel Chance Eau Tendre
How can a list of women’s perfume be complete without a Chanel! For this list, we include the Chanel Chance.
If you are the one who is the classy type, Chanel Chance Eau Tendre is perhaps the perfect perfume for you. You can wear it on your first date. You can wear it for your second date, and you can continue to wear it on your subsequent dates! You will almost always get compliments with this one.

The Poison Girl by Christian Dior is definitely one perfume that has the most mass appeal in the market.
It has an interesting mix of florals including rose, fresh orange flavor, and some almond vibe to it. It seems to have a bit of everything!
If you don’t know what perfume to wear, or can’t figure out the perfume for the mood depending upon the time of the day or the clothing, just pick Dior Poison Girl and you won’t go wrong!
It is just a perfect all-round perfume that most people love.
4. Carolina Herrera Good Girl
This is quite an interesting fragrance on this list. Not a lot of women would consider this in their top 5 list (mistakenly so I believe).
This perfume has got a mix of a fresh and sweet seductive fragrance. It feels like a hint of Dolce Gabbana Light Blue along with a juicy couture flavor.
Good Girl by Carolina Herrera is another perfume that is very versatile. It has got a young, flirty feel to it. It will make your partner feel like – “I’m interested but let’s see how this date goes”.
