Apple Watch 38mm Bands

The 38mm bands are what you will find in the first three generations of the Apple Watch. You can still get these stellar gadgets today but click on the 38/40mm option for the correct size.

Apple Watch 40mm Watch Bands

The 40mm band size is popular with the Apple Watch Series 4, 5, 6, and Apple Watch SE series. If this is your preferred wrist size, make sure you choose the 40mm option at checkout.

Apple Watch 42mm Watch Bands

The 42mm band size is also available for the first three series of the Apple Watch because there are larger versions of the watch in the same series. A larger watch will need a larger or broader band, and that is where the 42mm and size come in. It is best for people with wider wrists, from 140mm-220mm.

Apple Watch 44mm Watch Bands

The 44mm band size is the largest that Apple currently offers. Like the 40mm bands, they often come with Apple Watch 4,5,6, and SE models. It is best for people with wider wrists but can also be a fashion statement for people with smaller wrists.

Now that you know the different band sizes of the Apple Watch, how do you know the size that fits you?

The best way to figure this out is to measure your wrist.

How to Measure Your Wrist

People are different and consequently, so are their wrists. Something else that plays a significant role in wrist size is gender. Men’s wrist sizes range from 15cm to 19cm, while women’s wrist sizes range from 14cm to 18cm. To know your exact size, follow the simple steps below:

  • Get your tape measure. If you do not have one, a piece of string or any tape will suffice.
  • Wrap the tape around your wrist. Do not make it too tight or too loose, but make sure it is at a comfortable circumference for you.
  • Note down the size on a piece of paper. If you use regular tape or a string, mark the ends with a pencil or marker. Place the tape or string flat on a table and measure with a ruler.
  • Add 0.5 centimeters to the found measurements for safety.

The regular size of the Apple Watch band is uncomfortable for some consumers. Knowing your wrist size and measuring the Apple Watch band length is essential to finding the perfect fit.

Can You Change or Switch an Apple Watch Band?

You might not like the color or material of an Apple Watch band. Fortunately, you can swap it out and put any other type of band you want. Additionally, you can do this without any aid from tools.

The catch is that the watch and the band have to be the same size. After that, you can choose a band from Apple’s watchband collection or buy something compatible from Amazon.

Nevertheless, here’s a quick video to help you learn exactly how to swipe out or change the band on an Apple Watch –

6 Types of Apple Watch Bands

Apple has six different types of bands with different qualities to match your needs.

Note that you can easily find these bands either at the Apple store or even on Amazon. Sometimes, you will find that the same Apple-original watch bands are cheaper on Amazon! But, make sure you buy it from the Apple Store on Amazon to make sure you make an authentic purchase.

1. Sport Band

The sports band is made from rubber and comes in green, pink, black, white and blue. It has a silver metal peg serving as a plug and goes through the hole on the watch. The sport band comes in two sizes, 38mm and 42mm. You can purchase the bands individually for close to $50 at any Apple store or from Amazon.

Note that the Apple Watch edition models can be bought with black or white sport bands. Each band comes with a gold peg, and you cannot buy the bands separately.

2. The Leather Loop Band

As the name suggests, the leather loop band is made from leather, specifically Italian leather. It is a fold-over clasp design with magnets on the links. The whole band is made from leather except for the ring where the band folds over.

The leather loop band comes in two sizes, medium and large, in various colors like stone, light blue leather, and light brown. This band will cost you close to $150.

3. The Classic Buckle Band
